After taking part in the opening ceremony of Bam Model School Complex (BAMC) as the representative of Iranian artists, Entezami will be honored at the UTCO on May 24th.
Following the disastrous earthquake in Bam, Kerman province on December 26th 2003, UTCO developed the idea of an innovative school in the afflicted city. Ever since the calamity, several activities have been undertaken by UNESCO to facilitate Inclusive Learning Friendly Environment (ILFE) in response to the urgent of the people of Bam including students, teachers and parents in the area.
These activities finally led to the "Bam Model School Complex" which immediately received the support of many donor organizations.
The city is still home to a valuable heritage, but a great deal of care and attention will be needed to complete the renovation project.
In his latest film "The Mina of the Silent City" directed by Amir Shahab Razavian, Entazemi spent a period of two months in Bam for his artistic performance and depiction of the misfortunes of the afflicted land.
Razavian is also to be honored for his film at the UTCO.
The film was screened on April 30th free of charge for the people of Bam.
In the ceremony, Entezami delivered a speech before the audience and expressed words of gratitude for the cooperation and help of the people of Bam during the shooting period of the movie.
Entezami stated that his presence in Bam for the first screening of the movie was in a way thanking and respecting those who had contributed to reconstruction of Bam.
"The Mina of the Silent City" had brought the best director's award for Razavian and the best jury film award for Entezami in the 25th edition of the international Fajr film festival, here.
