The second title came as Iran snatched two silvers and one bronze, bringing 44 points.
Iran also ranked second in the world tournament in 1999, 2001, 2003, and 2005.
The 17-time champion Korea retained the title with one gold, one silver, and two bronze medals and 51 points.
Spain took the third title with one gold and 39 points.
Thailand and Mexico stood fourth and fifth with 33 and 31 points respectively.
