WASHINGTON - A lawmaker claims an event billed as "a night of solidarity with Iran earthquake victims" is being run by groups with ties to terrorists. Organizers say the charge is groundless.
Saturday's gathering at the Washington Convention Center is sponsored by about 20 Iranian groups, led by the Iranian-American Society of Northern Virginia. A Web site for the event said it will feature "speeches by distinguished personalities and performances by artists and singers."
